Consultant Podiatry Diabetes Services – Niue

Simon has been asked to provide diabetes podiatry services for the people of Niue. Podiatry often keeps people out of hospital because foot problems are detected early. 

 

This allows Podiatrists to educate patients on the signs and symptoms of foot problems that can become far worse if not addressed. Often when people turn up late with advanced foot problems, this can cause real trouble. The island nation of Niue is keen to have podiatry on-board and Simon along with Khan provided treatment for one week in November as the first ever Podiatrists to deliver care there.
