You will probably complain of pain when exercising which is very marked and focused along the inside of your shin bone (tibia). The pain presents as a dull ache and increases to intense and focused pain particularly when pushing off. In the beginning, pain may only be present during your exercise but in the longer term pain may occur during walking or even while resting.
The area on the inside of the shin may also feel very hard. If you walk as your form of exercise this is a common injury sustained in walkers. We will examine your gait pattern and may prescribe some orthotics to reduce this problem.
